Day 1:
Windhoek
Windhoek,
with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and
atmosphere is a city, which can be visited throughout the year.
The day is
spent at leisure. Hotel Safari (or similar accommodation).

Day 2 & 3: Etosha National
Park
This Park is one of the most
important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild
animals are attracted to the area. The birdlife is prolific with
326-recorded species. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are
enjoyed with the evenings spent watching an amazing diversity of animals
around the floodlit waterhole bordering our campsite. Standard . Mobile

Day 4: Etosha National Park
We continue our game drives in
Etosha and move to the eastern side. Our camp is set up on a private

Day 5: Ruacana
We drive through Owamboland,
which consists of communal farming land of the Oshiwambo people. We stop
to view a giant Baobab tree that once functioned as a church.
We arrive at Ruacana in the
afternoon and have time to relax in our camp at the banks of the Kunene

Day 6 & 7: Kaokoland
Himba Visit Epupa Falls
The Epupa Falls are a series
of cascades where the Kunene River drops 60m in 1.5km forming a multitude
of channels and rock pools. A variety of birds occur in the area.

| We visit a Himba village
to familiarize ourselves with their way of life. The Himbas are a
semi-nomadic tribe, who live in scattered settlements throughout the
region. They are characterised by their proud yet friendly stature and the
women are noted for their unusual beauty. Standard Mobile Safari (All

Day 8: Damaraland
An early morning drive takes
us to our camp in Damaraland. The changing colors of the surrounding
landscapes are enjoyed on a guided walk with explanations of the unique
flora and geology of the area.

Day 9: Twyfelfontein -
Brandberg
We visit the Twyfelfontein
area with walks to view the ancient Bushman rock engravings, Organ Pipes,
and the Burnt Mountain. We camp at the foot of the Brandberg Mountain,
which is the highest mountain in Namibia.

Day 10: Swakopmund
On our way to Swakopmund, we
visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, one of the largest mainland seal colonies in
the world. Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the
principal coastal resort of Namibia.
Time is spent at leisure to
enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional
activities on offer (at own expense). Overnight accommodation in Guest
House. (All meals, excluding dinner). |

Day 11: Gamsberg Mountain
via Moon Landscape- Star Gazing
Driving via the Moon landscape
we stop to view the unusual prehistoric Welwitschia plant, a dwarf tree
flourishing on the moisture of the Atlantic Coast. Its lifespan is
estimated at more than 1,000 years.
At night we have the
opportunity of viewing globular clusters and planets (weather permitting)
through a six-inch ZEISS APQ refractor with a ZEISS wide-field bino-viewer.

Day 12 & 13: Namib Desert -
Sossusvlei
Our journey takes us south to
the heart of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure
for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of
the worlds highest sand dunes.
The morning is spent walking
amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. En route back to camp we
enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. Standard Mobile Safari (All
meals).
Day 14: Windhoek
We arrive in Windhoek in the early afternoon +-13h00. (Breakfast only). |
