BILIMUNGWE is a trail camp nestled in a
riverine forest along the picturesque banks of the Luangwa River,
and an ideal base for walking safaris
The rustic dining area and fully stocked
bar are constructed on raised decking with views of Bilimungwe's
permanent water hole and abundant game.
The large open, but shaded-sided deck is shaded by a giant mahogany
tree and offers fantastic game viewing opportunities at any time of
the day or night.
The surrounding forest of evergreen trees form a majestic backdrop
for those seeking the unique African experience.
The thatched dining canopy provides a cool and comfortable
environment in which to enjoy watching the wild game that regularly
frequent the well used waterhole.
Accommodation:
The camp is made up of
four very comfortable reed and thatch chalets all with en-suite
showers, toilet and double vanities.
The chalets are situated on the edge of the bush and are regularly
visited by wildlife. Each chalet has two queen sized double beds
with large mosquito nets and an individual rechargeable lighting
system

• Rates are person
per night and include accommodation, meals, game activities,
drinks on safari (beers, soft drinks, gin and tonic etc),
laundry, park fees, tea and coffee, government taxes and service
charges. A house wine is provided at dinner, but all bottled
wine should be paid for. Road transfers between camps and from
Mfuwe Airport.
• Rates exclude imported wines (including SA wines) and any
other personal expenses not listed above.
Long stay rates are valid for clients staying at any of the 6
Bushcamp Company properties and/or Mfuwe Lodge for more than 7
consecutive nights. During the Green Season (Jun-Oct), the
Luangwa Experience can be a combination of Kapamba Camp,
Bilimungwe Camp and Mfuwe Lodge.
Children of 12 years or over are welcome. Full rates are
applicable. Bilimungwe is open from
25 April to 31 Dec.
