Game Viewing
/ Activities:
The
landscape varies widely between hills and valleys, dense bush and
open spaces. The panoramic views are so beautiful they will stay with
you forever.
The vegetation features plants, bushes and trees which
are amongst the most abundant South Africa has to offer.
Traditionally, Natal is the birthplace of the white and black rhino.
The white rhino is still often encountered in the bush and in the near
future Mkuze Falls hopes to reintroduce the black rhino back into its
natural habitat. |
 |
|
Apart from
rhino your path may be crossed by elephant, hippo, leopard, buffalo,
cheetah, warthog and giraffe. The plainsgame includes antelope such as
kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, zebra reedbuck, wildebeest, and many more.
The elusive Nyala, with its beautiful markings, occurs in greater
numbers here than anywhere in the world.
Safaris
are conducted in open Landrover Safari vehicles and take place in the
morning, late afternoon and early evening. The safaris are led by
experienced rangers and specially trained nature guides. They will be
able to answer all your questions about the flora and fauna in a
professional manner. Asphalt roads are unknown at Mkuze Falls, so your
safari is still a highly adventurous experience. |
