Sanctuary Chiefs Camp-Okavango Delta (Botswana)

Location:

On the northwestern tip of Chief's Island, the camp is situated on a virgin site in the Piajio Channel, right in the heart of the Okavango Delta.

The area renowned for its abundance in wildlife - in particular the rare and endangered "Wild Dog". Rich in diversity of game, the area ensures excellent game viewing opportunities.

Accommodation:

Chiefs Camp offers the ultimate in lodge luxury - providing al the necessary modern conveniences whilst maintaining an air of subtle and understated elegance.

Twelve twin-accommodation units, with a spacious public and dining area and a swimming pool - all of which have been designed to make the most of the natural landscape.

The decor features earthy tones and natural and textured fibers, resulting in a contemporary African feel.

Activities / Wildlife:

The area is particularly well known for its large concentrations of Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, Lion and Wild Dog, to name but just a few!

Game drives are conducted in high, open 4x4 vehicles, offering a better vantage point from which to view the surrounding wildlife.

All vehicles  have individual seating and are equipped with picnic hampers containing the essentials for morning coffee and sundowners! 

Game walks, accompanied by a guide are encouraged. In addition, guests are able to enjoy "drive-walks", night drives and seasonal mokoro safaris.

Children under the age of 12 years, sharing will a full paying adult, will pay 50% of the adult rate.
No children under 9 years of age are permitted at Chiefs Camp.
