Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge is perched on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment with one of the greatest views over the Great Rift Valley and its soda lake. It is difficult to imagine a more spectacular setting. The lake is renowned among ornithologists for its birds of prey and the famous tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland that nestles between the lake and the Rift Valley.

The lodge glows with tranquility and peace. The design was inspired by the areas abundant bird life swooping curves are complemented by soft, geometric patterns and stylish plaster moldings adorn the walls. Accommodation and public areas are housed in individual thatched circular buildings and are a tribute to local architectural traditions.

Accommodation / Facilities:

The camp consists of 67 rooms. The abundant bird life inspired the design of Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge - swooping curves are complemented by soft, geometric patterns; stylish murals depict bird migration patterns.

The camp has a swimming pool, bar and public areas with dramatic views of the landscape. Traditional dance presentations are held every night.
The circular shape of the buildings is a tribute to indigenous architectural traditions. Beyond the superb standards of hospitality offered, there is a spirit of tranquility that prevails...

Game Viewing / Activities:

Tree climbing Lions are but one of the lure... The extraordinary bird life has made this place world renowned among ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingoes and great birds of prey.

Daily excursions into the Great Rift Valley and to the National Park. Walking safaris and nature walks are conducted by experienced guides.

Christmas surcharge: USD 40 per person per night (24,25,26,31 Dec and 01 Jan 2010).
Easter Surcharge: USD 35 per person per night (10,11,12,13 April 2009).
Child under 2 years sharing a room with 1-2 adults is accommodated on a complimentary basis.
Child 2-12 years sharing with 2 adults is 50% of the per person adult rate. If own room is required, then 75% of adult rate is charged.
Young adult 13-17 years is 75% of the per person adult rate whether sharing or on their own.
