Mozambique; the "Playground of the Queen of Sheba".....

The miles and miles of mainland coastline stretching over a distance of 2700km has astonishing beaches but there is no doubt that the islands are Mozambique's strongest attraction. Many are simply magical, home to picture perfect beaches and some of the most luxurious lodges in the world. Diving off the coast is known the world over for having incredible unspoilt reefs; turtles, dolphins and kaleidoscopes of reef dwelling fish are only a sample of what these waters offer. Divers flock to the area for the annual migration of whale sharks and whales each year.

Rates:

(Depending on season and type of accommodation): From US$ 542 - US$ 630 per person per night sharing.

Location

Vamizi Island lies off the coast of northern Mozambique in the Quirimbas Archipelago. Vamizi Island Lodge is an exquisite 5 star destination, where a small handful of guests can step out of beautifully appointed beach villas into a world of powder sands, virginal reefs and secret coves. It remains one of the last pristine marine wilderness areas left in the Indian Ocean. After so many years, hidden from the outside world, Vamizi is now very quietly opening its doors to be explored for the first time, through the most careful balance of conservation and discreet tourism.
