From Maun you are met and transferred by charter flight to Stanley's Camp. This is a short flight touching down only 15 minutes later! You enjoy a dramatic arrival into the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta. Chief's Island borders the southern section of the famous Moremi Game Reserve, but is a private community concession.
The delta here is seasonal, with the flood waters arriving usually around June. Home to big game like elephant, buffalo, lion and wild dogs, game drives or walks will keep you enthralled. Stanley's Camp is a small luxury camp with only 8 tents. These are classic style safari tents, all with en-suite facilities and private balconies. Down time can be spent relaxing around the swimming pool.
Stanley's enjoys a unique activity for elephant lovers (extra charge). Here you can "join the herd" on their daily foraging treks. You are accompanied by experts who will share their passion and knowledge and who have astonishing relationships developed over decades with these amazing elephants.
Today you will transfer over the Delta by charter flight to the world renown Chobe National Park. Chobe Chilwero is a luxury safari lodge located on the border of Chobe National Park. Situated above the Chobe River, the Lodge has panoramic views across the islands and floodplains.
The lodge has 15 luxury air-conditioned cottages and the main public areas include a lounge and dining room which are linked to outdoor viewing decks. Chobe Chilwero also boasts the first full service Spa on the Botswana circuit. So if the awesome elephant and game viewing is too much and you want some pampering and total relaxation, then a visit to the Spa is a must.
Game drives are in open 4 x 4 vehicles to get you close to the wildlife and Africa's largest concentration of Elephants. You also have the opportunity to explore the Chobe River by specially adapted safari motorboats. This is subject to water levels .
Today you will transfer by road to Victoria Falls, on the Zambian side. Sussi & Chuma is located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River. The luxury lodge is situated 12km from the magnificent Victoria Falls. So you are close enough to marvel at this wonder on a tour, and far away enough from the busy attraction to be able to relax and reflect on your amazing African experience.
Sussi & Chuma is named after 2 of Dr.David Livingstone's faithful companions. When you stay at the lodge you will get to hear about the history of the area, and the amazing people that discovered it. The main lodge consists of a unique two-storey lounge and dining area. The second floor bar has incredible views across the Zambezi River from the shaded deck. There are 12 luxury tree houses built into the canopy of ebony trees and they all line the river bank.
Victoria Falls is a hub of adrenalin activities. There are tours of the falls, cultural village tours, game drives, and sunset river cruises. All this for you to soak up during your final days in Africa.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport where your tour ends.
