Arrive at Entebbe Airport and your transfer will be waiting to take you to The Boma Lodge, a short drive away from the Airport. Settle into your comfortable room and enjoy the peaceful setting of this restored colonial homestead.
While you are here you can enjoy a trip across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island. The island houses the Chimpanzee Sanctuary where guests can view feeding close up and also enjoy a talk from the Staff. The sanctuary is home to orphaned Chimpanzees who are unable to be returned to the wild and is an amazing educational opportunity.
Entebbe is a small town and you are free to explore or relax at the Lodge.

Your transfer will meet you at the Lodge and today you make your way to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is well known for game viewing and birding. Here you enjoy a Safari experience in a unique place. With volcanic features, crater lakes, mammals and birds, the well known Kazinga Channel and very little human traffic this is a wilderness paradise.
Spend 2 nights at Jacana Safari Lodge in one of the 10 luxury chalets. The lodge is a uniquely designed tree house perched on the edge of the largest Crater Lake in Uganda. The lodge has been made from local natural materials and blends in seamlessly with the hardwood tropical forest. You can enjoy panoramic views from your enclosed veranda onto the Crater Lake below.
Being in the National Park your activities are centered on game drives done with experienced guides. Keep your eyes open for the famous tree-climbing lions! You can also enjoy forest walks, boat cruises in the Kazinga Channel and kayaking on the Lake for an adventure of a different kind.
Today you will depart the National Park and make your way towards the border. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is in South Western Uganda which is a World Heritage Site. The forest has one of the richest eco-systems in Africa! This is the highlight of your trip: Gorilla trekking.
Make your way to Buhoma Lodge located within the park and just 5 minutes away from the starting point of the Gorilla trek. Enjoy a comfortable 3 night stay here in an elevated spacious cottage with private veranda's making the most of the stunning views into the forest. The lodge, where possible, uses local and eco-friendly services and practices.
With 2 full days here this allows for 2 opportunities for Gorilla trekking. Permits are issued daily and should a second day of activity be required, a supplement will need to be paid. Trekking can be strenuous and sometimes the Gorilla communities can be a few hours hike away. Spend a day searching for these amazing creatures through the dense forest and enjoy a privileged encounter with one of the most endangered species on earth!
