  • Great Plains Conservation

Great Plains Conservation is an initiative to help curb the downward spiral of our threatened natural world by being proactive today, and by applying what they know best. Great Plains Conservation is foremost a conservation organization which operates ecotourism to maintain conservation as a sustainable land use alternative. Most ecotourism companies are primarily travel companies that sometimes carry out conservation initiatives to help sustain their operations.

5 individuals in their 50's pooled their wide ranging skills and experience to create innovative, world class conservation projects in diverse and threatened habitats throughout Africa, the Indian Ocean and eventually India. In order to secure the planets future, sustainable conservation models must be created. These models need to integrate communities, Government and the private sector. With conservation and safari experiences in Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania, Great Plains Conservation looks to conserve threatened environments in some of the biggest tourist destinations in Africa.
Zarafa Camp in the Selinda Reserve in Botswana is synonymous with exclusivity and perfection. Selinda Camp on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway in northern Botswana, is a prime location within a rich wildlife territory. Spend 3 or 4 nights on the waterways of the Delta enjoying a canoe adventure in the Selinda Spillway. New to the portfolio, Duba Plains Camp in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta is remote wild African land.

In Kenya ol Donyo Lodge is unrivalled with superb views of Mount Kilimanjaro. "Ride Kenya Mobile Horse Safaris" has access to one of the largest expanses of land in Africa! Mara Plains Camp is set in the heart of big predator country. And Lukula Selous in the vast Selous Game Reserve, is a private photographic sanctuary of over 300,000 acres.

Great Plains Conservation is leading the way in Conservation Tourism and we are proud to be associated and in support of their efforts.
