Isandlwana Lodge features 12 luxury rooms - all en-suite - and all of them are exquisitely decorated in a mixture of traditional and modern styles - reflecting the singular charm of this part on South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province. Each of the generously sizes rooms offers quality appliances and comfortable beds, and no stone has been left unturned to cater for the needs of discerning travellers.

The lodge also offers a comfortably furnished guesthouse with two units - one offering two bedrooms, a large lounge and kitchen, while the other one has a combined lounge/bedroom, a small kitchen and a full bathroom. Both options are self-catering, and the two can also be booked as one unit to accommodate families or groups.

Although the lodge is child-friendly, it doesn't allow children under the age of seven.
Isandlwana Lodge is an ideal location for romantic getaways, and the peaceful atmosphere in the generously sized library is just the ticket to soak up some of the fascinating history of the area.

The specialist chef on hand ensures that every meal here is a memorable one. And after an exciting day of cultural tours or taking walks in the beautiful scenery, the lodge's refreshing pool - cleverly built among the rocks - provides a welcome respite.

Within close proximity to some of South Africa's most sought-after game reserves (such as Umfolozi and Hluhluwe), Isandlwana offers guests the opportunity to also enjoy the prolific wildlife found in Zululand. It is home to both the black and the white rhino and the area is also famous for its role in preventing the extinction of Africa's black rhino population.

Isandlwana's unique setting allows guests to experience informative battlefields tours as well as encounter Africa's coveted Big 5 in the wide range of nearby game reserves. It's also the perfect starting point from where to enjoy the area's mesmerising rock formations and dramatic valleys.
