The heritage of Singita dates back to 1925 when a pristine piece of land was bought by James Fawcett Bailes in the now Sabi Sand Reserve. This land has remained in the family and the dream to preserve a large piece of land and its magnificent wildlife lives on today. The addition of the exclusive lodges Singita Ebony and Singita Boulders, as well as the private 6-roomed Villa of Castleton Camp, provide guests with the ultimate opportunity for up-close, intimate experiences. In recent years Singita has extended its borders to Tanzania in East Africa and neighboring Zimbabwe. In keeping with the tradition of "fewer beds in larger areas" Singita Grumeti Reserve on the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park and Singita Pumashana in Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve offer guests a unique and exclusive Safari.
The Grumeti Reserve in the Serengeti lies in the path of the annual Great Migration. The three lodges located here: Sasakwa Lodge, Sabora Tented Camp and Faru Faru Lodge, command exquisite positions and endless views across the Plains. With more than a million Wildebeest, other plains game and the predators that follow, Grumeti Reserve provides world-class photo opportunities throughout the migration and all year round!
Pumushama Lodge in the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve is a precious breeding sanctuary for the endangered Black Rhino. This is one of the many conservation and environmental projects that Singita is proudly developing.
