On arrival in
Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Due to flight connections you need to overnight in Kenya's vibrant capital city.
Enjoy a night's stay at the luxury Safari Park Hotel. Centrally located in this bustling African city the hotel offers extensive gardens, and exceptional service and an array of room types to match your needs. Relax at the hotel pool or venture into town for some sightseeing, shopping, museums and cultural galleries.
On Day 2 your Safari Guide will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the Masai Mara. Enjoy lunch en-route to this iconic Reserve with some of the best game viewing in the world! Arrive in the Masai Mara in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive.
Spend 2 nights at the Mara Simba Lodge. The lodge is located in the middle of the Masai Mara and set on the banks of the Talek River. The lodge stretches for almost 1km along the river with virgin bush and beautiful gardens. The lodge has been decorated in traditional Masai style and complementing its surroundings.
Activities include 3 game drives daily, traditional "bush dinners" and sunset drinks over the vast bush veld.
Due to bad road conditions in East Africa it is good to break journeys up. On Day 4 you will stop over in the
Rift Valley to help with the long drive.
The
Lake Nakuru Lodge enjoys amazing views overlooking the spectacular Valley below. The lodge blends well with its surroundings and is comfortable with excellent service. Family Room, Cottages and Suites are available and have all modern facilities.
There is an array of activities in the area from visits to Lake Naivasha and Nkuru, adventure safaris, bush breakfast and sundowners, horse riding and a championship golf course.
Day 5 will involve a long transfer by road to one of Africa's greatest Safari destinations - Amboseli National Park. Made famous through the amazing photographs of the massive snow covered peak of Kilimanjaro.
Spend 2 nights at the Ol Tukai Lodge which enjoys a unique position with uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro and the savanna plains. Enjoy game drives twice a day. Amboseli is well known for its huge elephant herds. There are also other large mammals such as hippos and buffalo, plenty of antelope grazing on the vast grasslands, and smaller interesting wildlife like hyena, jackals, warthogs and monkeys to add to the variety.
On Day 7 you have a border crossing into Tanzania and a drive to
Lake Manyara National Park with an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara Serena Lodge stands on a 900 meter high escarpment with stunning views over the park and Lake. The Lake lies in a cleft in the Great Rift Valley and is 40km long and 13km wide. This makes for super bird watching and the Lake is also well known for its flamingo populations.
On Day 8 you arrive in the vast and sensational
Serengeti where you are treated to those classic open African landscapes and dense herds that the area has become so famous for. Tanzania's first established park "Serengeti" translates to "the endless plains" in the local Masai language. The Annual Migration is the most famous attraction.
Set in the middle of this wilderness is the Serengeti Serena Lodge. With panoramic views across the plains the lodge is perfectly located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River.
Enjoy spectacular game viewing during your 2 night stay. Bush walks are available around the lodge. Bush dinners under the African stars, breakfasts under the cool trees or barbeque lunches in the middle of the plains, all add to this once in a life time Safari experience.
On Day 10 make your way to the
Ngorongoro Crater which boasts the densest population of mammals within its 260km² as well as the largest number of Lion.
600 meters above the crater lies the
Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, blending in so well with its surroundings that you can't spot it from below. With uninterrupted views over the largest Crater on earth the rooms enjoy private balconies and classic African interiors. Enjoy 2 nights at this world heritage site, adding to your already magnificent collection of wildlife photographs.
Another overnight stop on Day 12 to break the long journey back to Arusha,
Tarangire National Park is a couple of hours away from the Crater Conservation Area.
Tarangire Sopa Lodge is set amongst ancient baobab trees with great views of the landscape beyond, where wildlife can sometimes be spotted.
Tarangire National Park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa, and over 400 species of birds. It is a great way to unwind and end off your Safari experience.
Today transfer to Arusha, and onto Kilimanjaro International Airport, for your flight home.
