Day 6 - 8: South Luangwa NP, Luwi Bush Camp
Enjoy a game drive transfer into the heart of the Luangwa Valley to your remote bush camp. Due to limited access and roads the main focus is walking safaris. Zambia is the home of the walking safari and Norman Carr one of the pioneers of this amazing experience! Guiding here is suburb.
Luwi Bush Camp provides a truly African bush experience. Four rustic grass and thatch huts, spacious with open air bathrooms provide you with a very comfortable stay in one of the most remote camps in the world! Natural vegetation is used wherever possible, thus keeping the camp in tune with its natural surroundings. Relax under the giant mahogany trees and look out over the grasslands into the vast African bush.
Walking in this area is quite an amazing experience especially as there is a permanent lagoon within a few hundred yards of the camp. This makes for fantastic hippo and crocodile sightings. Predators also roam freely here and there is much anticipation for coming across them when out for a walk. Walking happens in the early mornings and later afternoon, out of the heat of the day. Walks will be tailored to suit guests in camp.
