Relax under the giant mahogany trees and look out over the grasslands into the vast African bush.

Walking in this area is quite an amazing experience especially as there is a permanent lagoon within a few hundred yards of the camp. This makes for fantastic hippo and crocodile sightings. Predators also roam freely here and there is much anticipation for coming across them when out for a walk. Walking happens in the early mornings and later afternoon, out of the heat of the day. Walks will be tailored to suit guests in camp.

Transfer across to the stunning Mchenja Bush Camp on the banks of the Luangwa River. Although still referred to as a bush camp, as walking safari's are available here, it does take luxury in this remote location to another level. The camp has only 4 stylish tents, each beneath a large thatch roof, with a lovely wooden deck for you to make full use of your surrounding views.

2 nights here allows you to take in some more walking or you can enjoy game drives from open 4 x 4 safari vehicles. Should you wish, a combination of the two activities can also be arranged. Game viewing in the area is superb and night drives add another dimension to your safari experience.

During the day you get to relax at camp and can enjoy the swimming pool which is a welcome relief in the heat of the day.
