Tafika

Taking their cue from the lush, natural surrounds, each of the comfortable six en-suite chalets is constructed using local materials and methods. The result is comfortable accommodation that blends in perfectly with the lodge surrounds.

Open in the dry season from May to November and then again in the wet or 'green' season from February to April - guests are able to take full advantage of the different personalities this pristine and remote part of Zambia enjoys.

During the dry season, 4X4 game drives and walking safaris are very much part of the experience while in the wet season, guests and their experienced guides take to the water in boats and canoes to witness the wild game and other animals that play in the river waterways. And if guests are feeling adventurous, an overnighting canoeing safari on the river's waterways is also an option.
With its remote position in the pristine South Luangwa Park and wilderness area, Tafika promises excellent wildlife viewing opportunities to safari and game enthusiasts. The small size of this camp guarentees an exclusive safari experience and an opportunity to learn an enormous amount from the enthusiastic and highly qualified guides and guests can expect to see the likes of Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, Impala, Puku Warthog and Zebra.

Special activities like mountain biking safaris with fully armed guides, Microlight excursions, cultural activities and even painting safaris with a respected artist can also be arranged. For those who like the idea of a private safari experience, private guides can be arranged for guests too.

A comfortable stay awaits at Tafika, where small groups, families or honeymooners are welcomed and encouraged to relish their time in this pristine, wildlife-rich part of the South Luangwa National Park.
