Dulini River Lodge has six spacious and airy stone-and-thatch cottages are beautifully appointed, with all interiors masterfully designed.  To spend time at Dulini  is to experience a calming and tranquil retreat surrounded by a grove of ebony trees, an indulgent escape from urban life. Enormous glass windows and private decks with plunge pools face the seasonal Mabrak River with its lush banks, spot game from the comfort of your gracefully draped bed.

Before long, the calm rhythms of the bush take over, with an ever changing and mesmerizing landscape of wildlife emerging from the bush and revealing themselves in the riverbed, especially in the dry season.

The classic interiors of the main lodge invite browsing – deeply comfortable sofas will have you reading their beautiful selection of books and swapping sightings with other guests in no time. It’s a place to relax, enjoy a drink, snack on canapes.
Staff are attentive but not intrusive and it’s awfully tempting to resist game drives.

Gourmet meals are served on the deck in the welcome shade of an old jackalberry tree or by candlelight in the evenings. The menu is Pan-African and romantic dinners for two can be set up in the well-stocked wine cellar for complete privacy. A butler is on call to cater to your every need and honeymooners or couples celebrating anniversaries are bound to find a bath butler has drawn a petal-filled bath just in time to surprise them on their return from a night drive.

Dulini River Lodge is said to be on the highly recommended list of safari connoisseurs who know that it offers some of the best game viewing in Africa with traversing rights over 10 000 hectares. Rangers are able to drive off-road for better game viewing and vehicle limits ensure exclusivity at sightings.

About "Dulini River Lodge"

Dulini and Charlie were the highlights of our honeymoon

For those newlyweds who can't afford to take more than 10 days off work, this is the perfect African Honeymoon combo - Cape Town and a Big Five Safari. There is so much to see in do in Cape Town and to make the most of their time, we assigned them one of our top private guides. Dulini River Lodge, one of our favourite safari lodges, is heaven for keen photographers!

Detailed review of a luxury South Africa trip

These clients from Texas had plenty of time and wanted a thorough taste of Southern Africa. Ilze put together a fabulous highly personalised journey which included Cape Town, the Winelands, Victoria Falls, a Big Five safari in the Kruger area and then a few days on the coast north of Durban. Read their detailed review of top restaurants, the locals they met and of courser the hotels and safari lodges we chose for them.

Can’t get enough of Africa! Back for more Cape Town, Kruger, Vic Falls and Botswana

These clients thoroughly enjoyed their return trip and furnished us with some interesting feedback about their experiences. They were in excellent hands with tour guide Mark in Cape Town and the Winelands (although they were disappointed with their lodgings in Franschhoek). They loved their safari at Dulini Lodge. And had some awesome hands-on interactions with cheetah at the Victoria Falls and then the elephants at Baines’ Camp in Botswana.
