Starting off with a clickty clack on the luxurious Rovos Rail from Cape Town to Pretoria. Then onto safari at Notten’s Bush Camp in the Big Five Sabi Sands Game Reserve near Kruger. Fly from Nelspruit to Livingstone in Zambia and spend a few days seeing the Victoria Falls and enjoying the Zambezi River. A safari road transfer takes you up to Chobe Game Lodge and then on into the heart of the Okavango Delta for the grand finale.
Day 1 - 4 : African Pride 15 On Orange Hotel
On arrival in Cape Town you’ll be collected by your private guide and transferred to the 15 On Orange Hotel, centrally located in a characterful part of Cape Town within walking distance of lots of restaurants and one of the city’s trendiest precincts. Enjoy full day tours with your guide to your choice of top sights.
Day 5 : Rovos Rail
Transfer to Cape Town Station and board the Rovos train for your 2 day scenic rail journey north, through the Winelands and the Karoo to Pretoria. Stop in Matjiesfontein where passengers may visit this quaint historical Victorian village. Enjoy excellent service on board as the countryside floats by.
Day 6 : Rovos Rail
Today the train stops in historical Kimberley where passengers can board the bus for a tour of the famous Big Hole and the Diamond Mine Museum. Enjoy the comfort of your luxury compartment or install yourself in the glassed-in observation car at the rear of the train. Your final destination is Pretoria station.
Day 7 - 9 : Nottens Bush Camp
Transfer to Notten’s Bush Camp in the Sabi Sands for 3 nights on safari. We always get rave reviews from guests who stay at Notten’s, a delightful family run camp in the heart of a Big Five rich area. Go on twice daily game drives with your ranger looking for leopard, lion and other big game.
Day 10 - 12 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
Fly from Neslpruit to Livingstone and then its a short road transfer up to the Islands of Siankaba, a beautiful lodge on a sand island in the middle of the Zambezi River. Enjoy loads of nature and adrenalin activities like mokoro rides, sunset cruises, game drives, seeing Victoria Falls and a swim in Devil’s Pool.
Day 13 - 15 : Chobe Game Lodge
Road transfer up to Kasane, the border between Zambia and Botswana and onto the Chobe Safari Lodge. Located right on the Chobe River in the Chobe National Park, here you’ll enjoy boat based safaris and be able to get right up close to water loving animals and birds, especially lots of elephant.
Day 16 - 17 : Belmond Eagle Island Lodge
Its a light aircraft transfer into the heart of the Okavango Delta to the amazing Eagle Island Camp, an intimate safari camp surrounded by water and the Garden of Eden that makes up Botswana’s famous wildlife heritage. Enjoy mokoro rides along the water ways and game drives in 4x4s.
Departure Day
Sadly its time to say goodbye to the awesome people you’ve met and air transfer to Maun to connect with your flight onto Johannesburg and then home.
