Owned and managed by the More family and their passionate family of staff, this portfolio of hotels and lodges is well-loved with guests continuously sending wonderful feedback of their experiences. It all began at Lion Sands a generation ago when wildlife conservation along with the desire the share the drama and beauty of the wild Africa bush became the driving force behind what is now a respected luxury experiential tourism product in Southern Africa. The MORE Hotels group comprises the celebrated Lion Sands Safari Lodges in the predator rich Sabi Sands and a private concession within the Kruger National Park; two boutique hotels in the heart of Cape Town, one of the most popular lodges in the Madikwe Game Reserves, beautiful Marataba Safari Lodge nearby, as well as a new boutique hotel at Victoria Falls.
Lion Sands River Lodge has recently been completely rebuilt and it’s new innovative, light design is a breath of fresh air and is ideal for families and groups. Award winning Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is fabulous for honeymooners and couples wanting privacy and luxury. Ivory Lodge has an exclusive use villa, Fish Eagle Villa. On the other side of the river, within the Kruger National Park are the Lion Sands Kruger Park Tinga and Narina Lodges. Tinga has a family villa, Tinga Hi’nkweni Family Villa. And then there are the Luxury Treehouses – lion Sands Game Reserve Chalkley Treehouse, Lion Sands Game Reserve Tinyeleti Treehouse, Lion Sands Game Reserve Kingston Treehouse. These are possibly the most romantic (and Instagram-able) safari sleep out beds in the world!
In a lovely location in Cape Town, Cape Cadogan is one of our all time favourite guesthouses and the More Quarters Apartments are close by.
Madikwe Safari Lodge is great option in the malaria free and family friendly Madikwe Game Reserve. The MORE group’s most unique and eco-sensitive lodge is Marataba in the beautiful malaria-free Marakele Game Reserve within an easy drive from Johannesburg which comprises Marataba Mountain Lodge and the luxury Thabametsi treehouse. And of course no safari to Southern Africa is complete without including seeing the Victoria Falls, the site of the recently opened Stanley Livingstone Boutique Hotel.
