Day 1 : AtholPlace Hotel & Villa
On arrival, overnight in Johannesburg due to flight connections. Transfer to Athol Place. Enjoy a one stay in a deluxe suite at this small luxury boutique hotel. The beautiful gardens create the serenity that you need to help you unwind and relax after your long journey. Meals can be enjoyed on the property or you can visit one of the top restaurants in the local neighborhood.
Day 2 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport and check in for a flight to Livingstone, Zambia. Transfer to the Islands of Siankaba, a classic 5 star forested retreat in the middle of the Zambezi River. Relax here in one of the seven secluded chalets with amazing Zambezi River views.
Day 3 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
You can choose to take a tour to the magnificent Victoria Falls on the afternoon of your arrival or the morning of your departure. Claimed to be the largest waterfall in the world, this one mile long curtain of water truly takes your breath away and is a spectacle not to be missed.
Day 4 : Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge
You will transfer by road over the border into Botswana. The transfer company will assist with immigration procedures. A luxury 2 night stay at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero on the edge of the Chobe National Park starts your journey of magical encounters with Africa’s largest mammal, the elephant. The unique feature of Chobe is that you are able to view these massive herds of elephant from land or from water.
Day 5 : Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge
The guest cottages at Chobe Chilwero come with all the luxuries you need and command stunning views over the African Bushveld. Take in the sights and sounds of Africa from the privacy of your own suite in this luxurious bush retreat. Enjoy sunset cruises on the river to take in all the activity on the shore, or drives in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles for close encounters with Big Game in the Chobe National Park.
Day 6 : Abu Camp
Your flight time will be confirmed for you by Chobe Chilwero and when ready to leave you will be transferred to the Kasane Airstrip. Enjoy a scenic flight over the maze of waterways and flood plains into the heart of the Okavango Delta.
Day 7 : Abu Camp
Abu Camp is situated in 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the west of the Okavango Delta. Six en-suite accommodation units, each with distinctive furnishings and fittings, a private elevated deck, unique “Afro-Bedouin” style tents allowing for open and airy days and amazing lagoon views - accommodation that has serviced princes, presidents and film stars.
Day 8 : Abu Camp
Abu Camps Elephant Experience is what you are really here for and you are introduced to the herd shortly after your arrival in camp. Get to know these amazing animals at a very personal level during your stay – walk in the wild with them, learn their history and understand their interactions.
Day 9 : Abu Camp
DEPARTURE DAY - It will be hard to tear yourself away from your new family but a short charter flight to Maun gives you one last chance for photo opportunities from above. Fly from Maun to Johannesburg and connect to your International flight home.
