There are 2 distinct seasons in the Okavango Delta. The Okavango Delta is popular for experiencing the local mode of transport – the Mokoro. Wind your way through the channels and lagoons in one of these traditional canoes. It is quite a thrilling experience watching nature unfold around you from the seat of your Mokoro. Some areas of the Okavango Delta have water year round. There are areas that are affected by the floods, making the water levels too low for Mokoros before the rains.
