Liesl,

You beat us to it! We’ve been meaning to send you a message since we’ve returned but we can’t find the right words to sufficiently “thank you” for all that you’ve done to make our honeymoon perfect! You more than delivered on every part of this trip. All we had to do was pay, show up, and enjoy!

Garden Route was lovely though it rained most of the time we were there. Hog Hollow sure was something special. We LOVED it. I spoiled myself with a massage 🙂 We went kloofing one day. But perhaps our favorite activity was hiking Robberg Nature Reserve – simply stunning!! We loved staying at Hog Hollow – the people, the food, the attention to detail, the remoteness…so lovely! We enjoyed meeting the other guests as well.

Safari at Nottens – This was for sure the highlight of our trip. And that’s saying a lot because we LOVED every moment. But, safari, there’s just nothing like it. It was WONDERFUL! We’ve been bit by the safari bug and can’t wait to do it again!

Regrets: There are few but I do we wish we would’ve stayed at Nottens one extra day instead of panorama route. I think Alex regrets not shark diving. I probably could’ve used one more day in Cape Town (sans car). It was great to be disconnected from the outside world in terms of technology but I do wish we would’ve have access to internet while we were driving, etc. It’s helpful to look up restaurants on the go, etc. And we both overpacked 🙂

We CANNOT WAIT to return to Africa. Not sure how soon it’ll be but we’ve vowed to return in less than 5 years. We’d like to see more of the region next time – Botswana (Okavango Delta), Namibia, Kenya (Masai Mara + David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage). Do you plan trips in these areas?

You’ve been amazing to work with. Thanks so much, again. Talk soon!
