Hi Liesl,

Your email is quite timely. I just wrote a FaceBook post that said, “Home Sweet Home.” We had such an AMAZING trip, and we really hated to leave!

Victoria Falls was maybe a bit disappointing, because it is so dry right now. I cannot even imagine what it looks like in the high season. Everyone there in Zambia said that March and April are the best times to be there. Our lodge (David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa) in Livingstone was great, and we basically had the place to ourselves. Not very many tourists in Zambia. We enjoyed the Lady Livingstone Sunset River Cruise, and Greg did an elephant ride safari. We wanted to do the Steam Train, but we were told that we weren’t dressed up enough (no tennis shoes, no jeans). Oh well. We wonder what your thoughts are on exploring Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side??

Kirkman’s Kamp was definitely the highlight for us. We loved every minute of it there – and we were very spoiled. Our guide Sean with tracker Elvis were by far the best. We had amazing game drives followed by bush walks. Sean really spent a lot of time with us. EVERYONE there at Kirkman’s was friendly, hospitable, and attentive to our every need!!

Thank you so much for all your planning. Our internal flights were perfect. Our transfers were on time and professional.

Thanks again!!

Laurie
