Hi Camille,
I felt we saw two very different parts of South Africa. Our first leg in KwaZulu Natal was really interesting and both Fugitives Drift and Cleopatra’s Mountain Farmhouse very friendly places to stay – needless to say the food at Cleopatra’s was fantastic.
The Garden Route was interesting in a different way and the weather much warmer. Zinzi and Treetops restaurants (ate there while staying at Hunters Country House ) were lovely – it’s a shame the night we went to Treetops it poured with rain so we didn’t see much of it! It looked an interesting place to stay.
Majeka House was a lovely place to relax and the garden room with the pool really good particularly as there wasn’t anyone in the other two rooms for most of the time so we had the pool to ourselves!
Cape Town was interesting and despite warnings from friends who had been that it wasn’t safe we didn’t on any occasion feel threatened. We didn’t make it up Table Mountain as the wind arrived with us and didn’t abate til Saturday morning when we were leaving but that’s something for next time!
Thanks again for your organisation and support while we were in South Africa.
Regards
Sheila
