Upon getting back from our *incredible, over-the-top, luxurious, mind-bogglingly-wonderful* honeymoon, we moved to a house on Long Island and I started a new business, so suffice it to say things have been crazy. But I must say that the trip was even better than I had imagined.
Although every part of the trip was incredible, I must say that our time in Ulusaba was the highlight. We had the most incredible guide/tracker team, who have definitely ruined us for all other safaris. They were entertaining as hell, knew seemingly everything about game viewing, and just made it all so exciting. Their names were Brandon and Jack, and I would definitely requests them for future clients who go on a similar trip. To be honest, everything about Ulusaba was wonderful – if we were to do it over again, we would have just stayed there, instead of switching to Royal Malewane, which was beautiful, but nothing compared to our first experience at Ulusaba.
What else can I tell you? The flights were outrageous. And WOW is all I can say about Grootbos. So gorgeous, and the FOOD there was outrageous. I don’t understand how we did not gain weight on this trip – I’ve never eaten so well, so regularly, in my life!
The Seychelles were absolutely gorgeous, and our suite was ridiculous. But to be honest, this was probably the most expensive part of the trip, and after coming from a safari, we both felt that it wasn’t our favorite. It felt like a gorgeous beach, and a time to relax, but we hated needing to take a buggy everywhere, and we felt it was very overpriced.
