Vumbura Plains is a Wilderness Safaris Premier camp. The large, luxurious safari ‘spaces’ are raised off the ground on wooden decks, consisting of a bedroom, lounge, shower and full en-suite bathroom. This ensures a sublime accommodation experience amidst the beauty of the Okavango Delta area. With plenty to see and do each day, you can choose to try one of the many activities on offer, or you can simply relax at one of the two camps with a good book, a pair of binoculars for bird watching, and of course an ice cold drink.
From its vantage point in the renowned Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Vumbura offers the perfect point from which to explore the many wonders of this spectacular reserve. Hailed as one of the top game reserves in the world, Moremi is teeming with wildlife and bird species, offering plenty of viewing and photographic opportunities.
Vumbura Plains is a small and exclusive safari camp in the Moremi Reserve adjacent to Little Vumbura. Like it’s sister,the camp boasts luxurious safari suites that include bedroom areas, lounges, en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers and wooden viewing decks. The communal areas include raised dining, lounge and bar area, star-gazing deck, swimming pool and delicious cuisine.
You’ll see a wide range of animals and birds, both within the camp and in the greater Moremi Reserve – lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah and buffalo are just some of the species you will encounter. Safari activities include game drives (day and night), star gazing, birding and mokoro excursions.
