Kapinga Camp

Using natural products in the construction of this rustic camp, the newly opened Kapinga Camp (also called Kapinga Bushcamp) features only four luxury en-suite tents and accommodates a maximum of eight guests at a time.

This intimate approach ensures personal service and an exceptionally exclusive wilderness offering that contributed to the feeling of being off the beaten track. The traditional Meru-style tents are beautifully decorated and equipped with comfortable furnishings such as built-in sofas.

All the tents as well as the communal main area enjoy shading from nearby trees and as the tents are raised on wooden platforms, panoramic views are par for the course. Nature is also very much part of camp life, especially when birds are concerned, and Böhms Bee-eater can for example be seen in the parking area.
The main lodge features a delightful plunge pool, which is set in a sundeck with comfy loungers overlooking the vast plains, and the sumptuous meals are served in a casual open-sided dining area.

Game activities on offer include the mainstay of African safaris - day and night drives with guides - and the sheer concentration of game including predators like cheetah and large prides of lion means that every outing includes amazing sightings.

Unlike other camps in the park, Kapinga is not really suited for walking safaris, as the terrain is too open. However, this means the views from the 4x4 vehicles and even from the camp stretches as far as the eye can see. One of Kapingas most coveted features is its rich birdlife and some 495 have been recorded in the area surrounding the camp.
Breathtaking plains, exceptional guides and an unusually dense concentration of game - from predators to their prey - are part and parcel of Kapingas extraordinary safaris.
