Zungulila Bush Camp

Situated on the spring-fed Kapamba River that has created pools of water nearby, game viewing from a deckchair in the camp itself is outstanding, but one of the key differences to this bush camp is that game drives are not allowed in this area.

All safari activities are done on foot with highly experienced guides and armed rangers who share their fascinating knowledge with guests as they head out daily and even camp out under the stars in this untamed wilderness - a unique experience that allows one to watch, listen and understand the bush better than any safari drive will do (and there's nothing quite like that heart-stopping moment when a lion roars close by or the bush twitches to life!).

Besides, eating around a camp fire, enjoying the canopy of stars and falling asleep in a tent with the sounds of the bush are what people come to Africa for...
Zungulila's camp is not short on comfort: all the Meru-style tents are built on a raised knoll, covered with thatched roofing and have private patios facing the bush.

Each of the stylish interiors has ensuite bathrooms with hot water and opens out to a private plunge pool (the ultimate in luxury on a steamy hot day after a walk in the bush). The extensive main verandah and living area is made of eco-friendly bamboo and has magnificent views of the area with its ever changing canvas of game moving through - the ideal place to relax, sundowner in hand, and share travel stories with fellow travellers.

Zungulila welcomes children over 12 and it's one of the most comfortable camps to enjoy with a family looking for an authentic and unforgettable African safari experience that brings everyone closer to nature.
