Day 1 : Luangwa River Camp
Arrival in Lusaka is timed so that you can connect to the onward flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. At Mfuwe Airport your lodge transfer will be waiting to whisk you away to the banks of the Luangwa River for your 4 night stay at Luangwa River Lodge.
Day 2 : Luangwa River Camp
This intimate lodge caters for no more than 10 guests at a time in thatch Bush Suites individually decorated. All suites have stunning river and park views from their own private verandas. With the heat and humidity in Zambia, open plan, light and airy is the best way of making the most of your surroundings.
Day 3 : Luangwa River Camp
Activities in the Luangwa Valley are many. The Valley is most famous for being the original home to walking safaris. If this is a little too energetic for you, which it sometimes can be with the heat, safari vehicles are at hand to take you through this wild land in search of the Big Game that is out there.
Day 4 : Luangwa River Camp
Depending on the season that you go, river trips are also available, and in the drier months the river makes for incredible game viewing as all the animals migrate to the only water source in this immense Valley.
Day 5 : Sausage Tree Camp
It is time to make your way to the cool waters of the mighty Zambezi River. A charter flight lands you at Jeki Airstrip in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park. It is a one hour transfer to Sausage Tree Camp from the airstrip, but this is treated as a game drive so you don’t miss out on anything!
Day 6 : Sausage Tree Camp
Sausage Tree is a chic camp set along the Zambezi River front. The Lower Zambezi National Park is still relatively unknown so you are guaranteed an exclusive safari experience at this award winning camp. Luxury, your own butler, spacious Bedouin style tents, open air bathrooms, pure white fabrics and flowing mosquito nets are at the heart of the romance of this special place.
Day 7 : Sausage Tree Camp
Due to the camps amazing location on the banks of the Zambezi – game viewing takes place on land and from the water. Knowledgeable and experienced guides offer the highest quality game drives or boating safaris as well as walking safaris. Another unique activity to this area is the canoeing – led by a highly experienced guide you are able to explore the river.
Day 8 : Sausage Tree Camp
If you are looking to flex those muscles then Tigerfishing is an option, best between the months of September – December, but fishing is available all year round. Knowledgeable and experienced guides offer the highest quality game drives or boating safaris as well as walking safaris.
Day 9 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
Time to leave the romance of the Bushveld behind you and make your way by charter flight to the mighty Victoria Falls. Or as known locally – The Smoke that Thunders. This is something you can only truly appreciate once you have marveled at the spectacle.
Day 10 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
The Islands of Siankaba are not located at Victoria Falls but further down the Zambezi River, away from the usual tourist hubs. This adds to the intimacy of the location and your experience. There are only 7 secluded chalets, each with a unique view of the Zambezi River. This is a 5 star retreat and the perfect way to enjoy the last 3 nights of your vacation.
Day 11 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
Activities are varied, from relaxed sunset river cruises to the high adrenaline rush of being on one of the fastest flowing rivers in the world. Take in all the area has to offer or relax in your beautiful surroundings on the Islands of Siankaba.
Day 12 : Islands Of Siankaba Lodge
DEPARTURE DAY - Sadly today is your departure and you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight out of Zambia.
