About "Victoria Falls & Zambian Big Game Safari – 10 Days"
EnquireDay 1 : Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma
You will be flying into Livingstone in Zambia and your transfer will be waiting at the airport for you once you clear immigration. It is a short drive to your Victoria Falls accommodation – Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. The lodge is aptly named after the brave servants who carried explorer David Livingstone’s body back to England.
Day 2 : Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma
A visit to Victoria Falls is an obvious highlight – and this can be done with a guided walking tour or you can take the famous “flight of the Angels” where you get to see this 1 mile long wall of water from the air! The lodge borders the Victoria Falls National Park so you can enjoy game drives into the park with highly trained safari guides.
Day 3 : Puku Ridge Camp
Transfer from Livingstone to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa National Park. You may find this transfer takes you via Lusaka – the air routing in Zambia is limited. At Mfuwe International Airport you will be met by your guide from Puku Ridge. Enjoy an easy transfer through the South Luangwa National Park to the camp – you never know what you can find on the way.
Day 4 : Puku Ridge Camp
Puku Ridge Camp will be your base for the next 4 nights. Overlooking a floodplain in the South Luangwa NP you have the most stunning views from this camp. South Luangwa is one of Zambia’s biggest game viewing destinations and you are in a prime spot for Africa’s wildlife to unfold in front of you.
Day 5 : Puku Ridge Camp
South Luangwa is the home of walking safaris and ultimately this is the best way to really experience Africa. Seeing game on foot is wild, compared to the seat of your safari vehicle. Enjoy morning or afternoon walks with your experienced guide, or should you wish to be traditional, vehicles are available.
Day 6 : Puku Ridge Camp
The Luangwa River is the water source through this expansive valley. Sundowners on the river banks with the huge red African sun setting on the horizon, is a stunning way to close off the day!
Day 7 : Sausage Tree Camp
Leaving the valley of the South Luangwa you will transfer from Mfuwe Airport to the Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. This remote National Park is one of the hidden gems of Zambia – still relatively undiscovered it is a haven for the adventurous traveller or those looking for something a little different
Day 8 : Sausage Tree Camp
Sausage Tree Camp is an authentic luxury bush camp with only 8 bedouin tents and views of the river from the stunning pool. The Lower Zambezi NP is packed with thrilling activities. You have the privilege of enjoying safari activities from the land or the water. Experienced guides lead canoe safaris allowing for intimate encounters with some of Africa’s largest mammals.
Day 9 : Sausage Tree Camp
Guided walking safari’s can also be done here, along with traditional game drives in open safari vehicles. Should you need to get your hands into something – the right season produces amazing Tiger fishing opportunities. Enjoy spectacular views from your private lounge or viewing deck.
Day 10 : Sausage Tree Camp
DEPARTURE DAY - This safari experience in this unspoilt country sadly has to come to an end. Transfer to the airstrip and await your flight back to Livingstone. At Livingstone you will check in for your flight out of Zambia.
