Kapama Game Reserve is a 13,000 hectare fenced reserve which shares a border with Thornybush Reserve. Kapama is the largest single-owner game reserve in the region. It is ideally located just minutes away from Eastgate Airport, offering easy access for guests flying in to the Kruger Area. The vast Kapama reserve has all of Africa’s Big 5, 42 mammal species in total and around 350 bird species. The natural diversity of the Kapama area includes rolling savanna grasslands and riverine forests. A well known destination for superb safari vacations.

Kapama Reserve offers a unique activity. Elephant Back Safaris and Elephant Interaction give visitors an amazing opportunity to get close to Africa’s giants. The Hoedspruit Centre for Endangered Species is also found on the Kapama Reserve and visits can be arranged. These trips are educational, but guests are able to enjoy close company with some very special rehabilitated animals like the Cheetah.
