Situated in the south-central region of the Serengeti National Park, Dunia Camp’s 8 luxury tents offer guests a personalised safari experience overlooking the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park.
The camp itself is set in a private campground near the Moru Kopjes and some rather unique rock formations. Dunia Camp grants guests easy access to the nearby surrounding areas and the best that the southern and central Serengeti has to offer, including the Southern Plains, Moru Kopjes, the Central Serengeti Valley and the Ndutu area.
The annual wildebeest Migration settles on the southern Serengeti Plains to give birth to their young between December and March each year, sharing the area with plenty of Thompson gazelle, giraffe, elephant and the travelling zebra. This abundance of game draws an eager crowd of big cats, particularly lion and cheetah. This is also the only area in the Serengeti where black rhino can be seen.
Each tent is en suite, with flush toilets, twin basins and a safari shower. The tent’s spacious interiors are furnished in contemporary furniture and traditional cloths, opening out onto large private verandas overlooking the Serengeti, perfect for relaxing on after a typically thrilling day. Dunia Camp’s central tented mess serves authentic African and nouvelle European dishes and drinks slide down easily around the campfire at night. Dunia Camp’s rustic charm and authentic bush feel make it a favorite among visitors looking for a secluded bush camp within easy reach of game laden plains of the south-central Serengeti.
Dunia Camp offers game drives and hot air ballooning, promising fantastic bird and wildlife viewing. The Moru Kopjes is also home to some interesting and colourful Maasai rock paintings.
Ideally located in the Serengeti National Park, Dunia Camp is private and authentic – perfect for wildlife enthusiasts.
