Spacious communal guest areas, including a massive viewing deck from which a popular watering hole can be seen, are the perfect places to sit with a drink in the heat of the afternoon and watch the goings on in the bush surrounding Gomo Gomo.
The itinerary for each day at Gomo Gomo is set up in a similar vein to most African safaris.
Animals, like humans, tend to lose their energy in the intense heat of the midday sun and are far more active when it’s cooler. The Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) are all common visitors to the area and numerous other mammals, as well as a thriving number of bird species, can be seen in their natural habitat. Safari drives are conducted in 4 x 4 Land Rovers with enthusiastic and knowledgeable field guides ensuring exciting and informative trips.
Optional guided bush walks with experienced trackers are also a wonderful way to see the landscapes of the reserves and observe the flora and fauna of South Africa’s intricate ecosystems.
Gomo Gomo Game Lodge offers guests the beautiful and varied landscapes of the Timbavati and Klaserie reserves all within the Greater Kruger National.
