While the main part of the lodge is open-plan and curved around a huge anthill, the eight immaculate rooms were designed in the style of safari tents and feature roll-up canvas sides. The suites also offer full en-suite bathrooms as well as the ultimate bushveld treat – lavish outdoor showers. The walls in the bathrooms were built with natural rock and the generous baths were constructed on site. At the front of the suites, the ample decks allow for hours of relaxation and just taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the natural surrounds – and even spotting some wildlife en route to the waterhole to drink.Jaci’s Safari Lodge is child-friendly and children sharing with their parents are comfortably accommodated on camping stretchers in the suites.
There are also exclusive family suites, which come with their own guides and game-viewing vehicles and at night, families can choose between dining at the lodge with the other guests or enjoying a private family dinner.
All rooms offer underfloor heating and fireplaces to ensure a cosy atmosphere during the chilly winter months, while air-conditioning and ceiling fans provide a cooling breeze during the hot summer months.
Breakfasts, lunched and high teas are served in the lodge’s main lounge, while the loft bar is the perfect place to unwind after an exciting day of game viewing. And in step with allowing parents the time and space to also relax, there’s a whole host of activities on offer to keep the ones busy, such as table tennis, foosball and a wide selection of games in the games room.
