Lake Mburo Tented Camp is situated on a hill inside the Lake Mburo National Park overlooking Lake Mburo and surrounds. It is in a quiet location with lovely views of the lake. This camp is the perfect stop off point on the slighlty too long drive between Entebbe or Kampala and the Bwindi forests and is a good addition to a gorilla trekking trip. The camp is small, relaxed and very comfortable with an abundance of plains game.
The nine spacious en suite tents blend nicely into the environment and have wooden decks overlooking the lake and valley. There is a well appointed lounge area, bar and dining area where lovely fresh meals are served. The camp is solar-powered.
The surrounding area has resident zebra, warthogs, water buck, impala, buffalo, civet cats and lots of birds, notably the rare Shoebill Stork. An ideal place to relax with a cold drink after a hot and dusty game drive, a walking trip or a visit to the lake with its various optional activities that include : game drives, bush walks; birding ; visit to fishing village; boat trips and cultural visits
