Soroi Larsen’s Camp consists of 12 luxury tented suits, 2 Luxury family suits and 2 ultra deluxe suites. These freestanding tents are not only spacious and ultra-luxurious but they also boast private balconies with sensational views. Each tent in anchored on a plinth of natural stone and they all feature beautifully appointed en-suite bathrooms. Decorated and designed to reflect a safari chic style, each Larsens Camp tent also features either one king-size bed or two twin beds.
The mood and ambience of Larsen’s Camp is all about tranquillity and embracing nature, and the only man-made noise you will hear is that of the Samburu flutist as he winds his way along the river.
Apart from that, Larsen’s Camp guests can brace themselves for a wildlife treat, as the sounds of elephants trumpeting and baboons and vervet monkeys chattering abound.
The dining tent is also completely focussed on making the most of the views at Larsen’s Camp and it is not only open on three sides but also faces the river.
Dinners here are lavish affairs and world-class meals are served by candlelight on tables decked out in the finest silver and china. For a unique bush experience, the Tent Bar is well worth a visit – if only to peek at the old cabin trunks and pith helmets while playing chess or backgammon on vintage Larsens Camp boards. There is also a well-stocked library at Larsens Camp with magazines and wildlife books, and at night, the campfire is the place to be to share safari stories and admire the clear skies.
A special treat is the Treehouse with its spectacular views of the surrounding plains – and there are few better places to enjoy sundowners in Africa than this.
Providing guests with the opportunity to soak up the spirit of African safari pioneers and literally walk in their footstep, Larsen’s Camp offers one of the most authentic bushveld and wildlife experiences on the continent.
