The 10-roomed Ulusaba Safari Lodge is built ‘treehouse’ style along the Mabrak river bed beneath mature Jackalberry trees & connected with rustic suspension bridges and wooden walkways. There are smaller Safari Rooms, Elephant Rooms, and more private River Rooms to choose from at Ulusaba Safari Lodge. Most romantic is the Treehouse Suite which is secluded and overlooks Xikwenga Dam – a perfect spot for viewing game at sunrise, cup of coffee in hand. One of the most attractive advantages of staying at Ulusaba is that guests can book into the Ulusaba Safari Lodge but spend time at Ulusaba Rock Lodge whenever they wish, giving two unique experiences: Rock Lodge is perched high on a hill above Safari Lodge with panoramic bush views stretching as far as the eye can see.
Ulusaba Safari Lodge is family friendly but children must be over 12. They can visit the Cub’s Club that runs a daily programme of activities designed to educate and entertain teens if they’ve had their fill of game drives.
Heavenly Africology spa treatments are on offer at Ulusaba Safari Lodge, with treatment areas set in the trees on the peaceful banks of the riverbed, while more active guests can take a walking safari with a ranger or simply enjoy the twice daily game drives. There are always activities on the go whether it’s tennis on floodlit tennis courts, or a visit to the bush observatory after dinner to discover the stars of the Southern Hemisphere. With roaring fires welcoming everyone back to camp for a nightcap. Or, a community tour can be organised with a visit to an authentic Shangaan village where Ulusaba is involved in a community project.
Ulusaba Safari Lodge is a quintessentially African safari experience with unparalled game viewing over 10 000 hectares in one of the world’s most famous safari reserves.
