Safari Lodges
Safari Lodges are typically located within game reserves or national parks or at least close by to a wildlife area where daily activities include game drives or nature walks to experience the African wilderness and the animals in their natural habitat.
Lodges range in size and capacity, but we prefer to use the smaller and medium sized ones with between 8 and 12 rooms. Safari Lodges generally have a comfortable communal area with a viewing deck overlooking the immediate surroundings, be it a river, waterhole or desert pan. There is usually a pool for down time during hot summer days. The thatched or semi-tented safari suites or rooms are often linked by raised boardwalks and are constructed to blend into the natural surroundings and optimize the ‘on safari, in the wilderness’ feeling.
