A safari is very often the culmination of months of planning and a lot of hard work. The daily grind seems a little more bearable because we know that those weekdays we stayed a little longer, or those reports we finished up on a Sunday afternoon, will all be worth it when we’re relaxing in a luxurious camp in the middle of pristine African wilderness. Going on safari is a privilege and we’re fortunate enough to be able to do it. There are those of course that are less fortunate than ourselves, which is where Pack for a Purpose comes in…
Using just five pounds of your allotted luggage, you could take 400 pencils or five deflated soccer balls (with inflating device) or a stethoscope with 500 band-aids. All of which will make a massive difference to some of the impoverished communities around your destination.
Pack for a Purpose has made it incredibly easy to make a real difference with not much effort. Using the site you simply select your destination, find a lodging or charity it supports, choose from the required supplies the organisation has listed, pack them, then drop the supplies off at your destination. Your destination will then deliver those well-needed supplies on your behalf. Brilliant!
Some of the more commonly listed items include pens and pencils, calculators, soft toys, stuffed animals, picture books and vegetable seeds.
Next time you’re off on an amazing African adventure, use Pack for a Purpose to make a huge difference to a community’s life.
