Day 1
Arrive in Entebbe and transfer to your lodge a short drive away from the Airport. Enjoy a trip across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island. The island houses the Chimp Sanctuary where guests can view feeding close up. The sanctuary is home to orphaned Chimpanzees and is an amazing educational opportunity.
Day 2 : Ndali Lodge
Your transfer will meet you at the hotel and prepare you for the journey ahead. You will be travelling to Western Uganda to the heart of the Crater Lake region.Ndali Lodge is perched on a rim of an extinct Volcano and enjoys stunning views over a crater lake and the Mountains of the Moon – The Rwenzories – in the distance.
Day 3 : Ndali Lodge
Here you can look out over miles and miles of ancient volcanic landscape and lush green forests and vegetation. Your cottage has panoramic views, and is designed and built with the local environment in mind. There are 8 luxury and spacious cottages. This area allows you to relax into Uganda and explore your beautiful surreal surroundings.
Day 4 : Ndali Lodge
Kibale Forest National Park is home to the largest concentration of Chimpanzees in Africa and is located 45 minutes away from Ndali, so a great excursion. Local guided walks, looking at the bird life, swims in the Crater Lake or soaking up the sun gets you into the holiday spirit.
Day 5 : Jacana Safari Lodge
Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is well known for game viewing and birding. With volcanic features, crater lakes, mammals and birds, the well known Kazinga Channel and very little human traffic this is a wilderness paradise. Spend 2 nights at Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 6 : Jacana Safari Lodge
The lodge is a uniquely designed tree house perched on the edge of the largest Crater Lake in Uganda. It is made from local natural materials and blends in seamlessly with the hardwood tropical forest and has views of the Crater Lake below. Look for the famous tree-climbing lions! Enjoy forest walks, boat cruises and kayaking on the Lake.
Day 7 : Buhoma Lodge
Depart the National Park and travel to the border. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is in South Western Uganda which is a World Heritage Site. The forest has one of the richest eco-systems in Africa! This is the highlight of your trip: Gorilla tracking. Buhoma Lodge is just 5 minutes away from the starting point of the Gorilla trek.
Day 8 : Buhoma Lodge
Stay in an elevated spacious cottage with private veranda’s making the most of the stunning views into the forest. With 2 full days here this allows for 2 opportunities for Gorilla tracking. Spend a whole day searching for these amazing creatures through the dense forest and enjoy a privileged encounter with one of the most endangered species on earth.
Day 9 : Buhoma Lodge
Sitting face to face with these incredible creatures is a privilege and an experience that will remain in your memory forever. Trekking can be strenuous and sometimes the gorilla communities can be a few hours hike away. Permits are issued daily and should a second day of activity be required, a supplement will need to be paid.
Day 10 : Buhoma Lodge
DEPARTURE DAY - Your time with the Gorilla’s and journey through this lush land locked country is over all too quickly. Today you have a transfer back to Entebbe for your International flight home.
