You arrive in Johannesburg and immediately go through to boarding for a flight to the Kruger International Airport. This short flight gets you straight to the African Bush and you will be met at the airport and transferred to your lodge.
A 4 night stay at the authentic, family-run Nottens Bush Camp will settle you into Safari life. This is a small and intimate lodge with only 8 suites. Private game viewing decks, lovely big open plan bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, paraffin lamps and candles to add to the atmosphere of your Safari experience.
The lodge is situated in the Private Sabi Sands Reserve which is well known for its exceptionally high concentration of animal and bird life and particularly sightings and close encounters with the Big 5. At Nottens early morning and evening game drives in open land rovers, with highly skilled rangers, help you track the Big 5 for those amazing encounters and photo opportunities.
Today you will leave the African bushveld behind and make your way on the next stage of your adventure. Direct flights from the Kruger International Airport to Vilanculos in Mozambique make this journey a pleasure.
The island is a diverse ecological gem – with sand dunes, fresh water lakes, savannah, acacia woodlands and forest and of course the warm Indian Ocean lapping its shores.
Enjoy stunning sea views and only a few steps to the white sands of the beach. Enjoy dinners or breathtaking sunsets from your veranda. Idle the days away or partake in some of the many experiences on offer from diving and snorkeling, fishing, sailing and picnics to restoration and reawakening at the spa.
Here you will find some of the world’s best scuba diving. Go looking for dugong’s, turtles, whales and dolphins. Anglers will love the deep sea fishing excursions. Try your hand at windsurfing, water skiing and wake boarding. The higlight of your stay will be setting sail on a traditional dhow boat at sunset.
It will be hard to leave this sanctuary but a scenic boat trip to the mainland brings you slowly back to reality. In Vilanculos take a direct flight back to Johannesburg where you will connect with your International flight home.
