Arrive in Johannesburg. We’ll arrange for a VIP meet & greet on arrival. The handler will meet you at the aircraft, assist with immigration procedures and luggage collection and then accompany you to the Arrivals Hall where you will meet your driver. Transfer to your hotel (drive time 40 minutes) and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight Saxon Hotel in 1 Villa Luxury Suite – Twin – including breakfast

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Your driver will transfer you to Johannesburg Airport where you will check in for your flight to Maun in Botswana. Here you will connect with the flight in a bush plane to your first safari lodge – duration 30 minutes. Your ranger will meet you on arrival and transfer you to the lodge. Check in and settle in ahead of your afternoon safari drive. Your experienced ranger will tell you more about the sights you encounter along the way. Return to the lodge for some drinks around the fire followed by dinner. Overnight North Island Okavango in a Safari Suite.

Enjoy thrilling safaris with your private ranger. Go on game drive through vast tracts of pristine wilderness in search of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo and the rare sitatunga antelope. View the wildlife at eye level on a boat or traditional mokoro safari through the lily-filled channels (NB water activities are subject to water levels in the Delta but this area of the Delta gets water almost all year round). Cruise over the vast landscapes of the Okavango Delta on a scenic helicopter flight (at an additional cost).

After breakfast, check out. You’ll  be transferred to the airstrip for your small plane flight to the Okavango Delta – flight time 20 minutes. On arrival, your ranger will meet you and transfer you to the lodge. Check in and enjoy a refreshing drink before the afternoon game drive departs. Your ranger will showcase the beauty of the animals found in this piece of paradise. Return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner. Overnight Xigera in a Suite.

Enjoy twice daily game drives and interpretive bush walks with your ranger. Daily land and water excursions allow guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Okavango Delta, a region as famous for its tawny grasslands and verdant riverine forests as the flood plains that fill with crystal clear waters each year. An experience unique to the Delta is a morning spent gliding along flooded channels by mokoro, the traditional dug-out canoes found in the area. Boat cruises are also offered. NOTE that water activities are water-level dependent. In between game drives, relax by the pool, read a book or enjoy an optional pampering spa treatment

Two days with a private tour guide to explore the city. This morning we head out to Cape Point for a tour with a difference. You’ll forage for your lunch! Explore the gardens, discover and pick edible floral foods and fresh organic vegetables. Forage for indigenous edible plants and winter weeds, learn how to sustainably harvest them, utilise them in your kitchen, grow them in your garden and explore some of their medicinal properties. After your gathering tour, enjoy a seasonally inspired lunch meal. Drive back to the city via the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive. Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Another day of touring with your guide. Enjoy a walking tour of the city, with a talk on the city’s history and origins. This tour provides an in-depth insight into the colourful history of the Cape Colony and allows you to experience the modern day cosmopolitan vibe that is Cape Town. The tour duration is 2-3 hours. Head over to Table Mountain and take the cable way to the top. Enjoy stunning views of the city, the beaches and all the way to Cape Point on a clear day. Your guide will tell you more about the plants and animals found here. We’ll enjoy lunch before embarking on a cultural tour with a difference!.

Enjoy interpretive game drives with your private ranger. Diverse habitats offer varied game viewing, including over 80 species of mammals such as black-maned Kalahari lion, desert black rhino, cheetah, giraffe, greater kudu, eland and oryx. Tswalu is also one of the best places in Africa to see five shy, nocturnal species that often prove elusive elsewhere, namely the brown hyena, aardwolf, aardvark, bat-eared fox and ground pangolin. Join a group of habituated meerkats as they emerge from their burrows and warm themselves in the rising sun or meet up with them as they return home at the end of the day and groom and play at dusk.
